What is Bespoke Furniture?
Bespoke Furniture Artistry is about turning forgotten pieces that have history into unique pieces of functional art for your lifestyle. These might be vintage finds or heritage furniture, a piece that’s been handed down for generations. Bespoke means it is tailored for what you need, where you need it and for exactly how you want it to look. It may even be repurposed into a completely new use to become a meaningful story you will share for years to come. What a joy to walk into your home and be greeted by a unique-to-you creation!
Joyology - BFA is like an adult coloring book where we don’t have to follow the rules, or color in the lines, but we do make sure it sparks joy.

I remember as a child, playing hide and seek in an upholstery warehouse amongst old discarded pieces of furniture waiting for a second chance and I felt something stir inside me. I have been drawn to vintage furniture and their stories ever since.
Thirty years after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Humboldt State University, I’m finally doing what I was born to do: create one-of-a-kind functional art with vintage furniture. My studio is in a 140 year-old building in Blue Lake, CA on the banks of the Mad River surrounded by Redwoods. It couldn't be a more perfect setting to be inspired by nature and create. What is Joyology
As archeology is the science of digging up the past and anthropology is understanding humanity, Joyology combines these in an emotional form. There’s an alchemy that lights up when you create new life for something that has been neglected
Maybe it’s the memory of inherited furniture or an amazing vintage find. When we can reconnect to the past and have these pieces come back to life, reimagined and repurposed in a vibrant new way, we can find immense pleasure and joy. Like a life well lived, vintage furniture stands apart through the test of time, proud of its little knicks and scratches. they remind us their stories are too important to be forgotten.
